This is a great start to an evening and will take you away from the hard house beat and take you back in time to 70's cheese. If you are looking for a cheaper night , Tuesday is students' night with selected drinks one pound.

Weatherspoons

Whether you are looking for a cheap night out or a quality meal Weatherspoons should be top of your list. It boasts a selection of meals from chicken balti to a Caesar salad all at reasonable prices. 53 Degrees

This recently open super bar has established itself, as a pre-club must. It specializes in R and B and commercial dance tunes that blast from their super sonic sound system. Once inside you can either dance the nights away underneath the star studded ceiling or relax on their leather soft chairs. The bar is free entry at the moment, but is soon to change in the up and coming weeks. This is situated on Bridge Street.

Reef

This is a bustling little bar with a lot of character unfortunately there is little if no chance of resting you feet. This is a good place however for a one-stop drink before making your way down to Smiths. This is situated on Bridge Street.

Late Lounge

The recently refurbished Postern Gate has been transformed into a trendy bar with various sofas and comfy chairs. This bar offers various drinks promotions and a recently extended license to 1:30am. This is situated on St. Austins lane, opposite Weatherspoons.
